ROMEXPO S.A. – the leading fairs and exhibitions organizer in Romania

The Company and its Fairgrounds

ROMEXPO S.A. is the largest and the most experienced Romanian company which stages exhibition events, joining tradition, expertise and high quality service standards for the benefit of ever demanding customers in a challenging environment.

Its main activities consist of organizing trade fairs and exhibitions, providing full packages of related services, conventions of all types, business and private tourism.
Also it is the most acknowledged organizer of the Romanian participations in the international exhibition events held abroad.

ROMEXPO S.A. is a founding member of the Association of the Romanian Fair  and Exhibition Organizers – ASOEXPO.

It has its own fairgrounds, called ROMEXPO Exhibitions Centre – Bucharest International Fair which stands as a multifunctional complex  with a total display area  of over 100,000 sqm out of which 55,000 sqm indoors and over 45,000 sqm outdoors.

The ROMEXPO fairgrounds also include large parking lots for over 2,200 cars.

It is worth mentioning that even since its coming into being, on December 2nd 1991 (as a successor to the former Enterprise for Fairs and Exhibitions) the strategic development of ROMEXPO S.A. has been concentrated on three major  directions : modernization, diversification and specialization, all under the aim of striving for quality services and exhibitors’ satisfaction.

The  Trade  Shows

In accordance with the company’s experience of over 35 years as well as with the tendencies in the fair industry worldwide, ROMEXPO S.A. has given great heed, ever since 1991, to the organization of specialized exhibitions that offer the participants better business opportunities than the general fairs where image-building prevails.

The number of specialized events has considerably increased with every passing year as new fields of activity showing a real potential were identified.

From only 4 exhibitions in 1991, ROMEXPO’s present annual program comprises more than 40 specialized fairs, exhibitions and trade shows including also the two traditional general fairs, TIB and TIBCO. All of them take place at the ROMEXPO Exhibitions Centre – Bucharest International Fair in Bucharest.

At present, these trade fairs and exhibitions are covering a wide range of topics from all economic sectors : constructions & installations, machinery, equipment & technologies for various industrial branches, IT, capital  & consumer goods, agriculture, animal husbandry & food industry, medicine & pharmacy, environment protection, furniture, printing industry, advertising, packaging, tourism, hotels & restaurants, textiles & ready-made clothes, cosmetics, gifts & souvenirs, books, military equipment a.s.o.

ROMEXPO S.A. is also a coorganizer of several national trade events staged in major cities in Romania.
Surveys conducted among the exhibitors at the international trade fairs and exhibitions organized by ROMEXPO in 2005 revealed that over 78% of respondents were satisfied with   new business contacts made during the fairs, over 71% achieved their objectives and 78% of exhibitors expressed their intention to keep on participating in the next editions of ROMEXPO exhibition events.

Mostly derived from the general fairs TIB and TIBCO, the specialized exhibitions have grown in size and participation, such as CONSTRUCT EXPO – now one of the major international building exhibitions in SE Europe, BIFE-TIMB – an outstanding exhibition event for the furniture and wood working industry, INDAGRA, EXPO DRINK and ALL PACK dealing with agriculture, animal husbandry and food industry, beverages and packaging and let’s not  forget the  tourism field with two colourful events, TNT - The National Tourism Fair and ITF – The International Tourism Fair.

Due to the actual extent reached by CONSTRUCT  EXPO, this major trade event   will be organized, starting with 2006, in two separate editions: CONSTRUCT EXPO – ANTREPRENOR and CONSTRUCT EXPO – AMBIENT.

Other specialized exhibitions with a strong developing trend are ROMTHERM (heating and cooling equipment) and ROMHOTEL (related to the hospitality industry).

In 2005 ROMEXPO international fairs and exhibitions brought together  7,178 exhibitors ( 5,070 from Romania and 2,108 foreign companies from 57 countries) on a total area exceeding 350,000 sqm. These figures place ROMEXPO S.A. among the medium-sized organizers of trade exhibition events in Europe.
